Who We Are

Watergenics is an innovative company based in Berlin that combines high-tech real-time sensors and AI in a water analytics platform. We are a data company that measures water-quality parameters to create actionable predictive analytics for the natural resource extraction industry and for environmental monitoring. Currently, our customers are mainly in the mining and desalination industries. Since its birth 4 years ago in the hallways of the European Commission in Brussels, the company has grown to a team of 10, and it is further expanding. 

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive business development initiatives across target industries, including Desalination, Mining, Oil & Gas, Chemical, and others.
  • Identify and build relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in potential customer organizations.
  • Develop and execute market entry strategies for new markets, leveraging your network and market knowledge.
  • Create and deliver tailored value propositions that highlight the benefits of Watergenics’ real-time sensor solutions and AI-driven water analytics.
  • Collaborate closely with technical and product teams to ensure customer needs are translated into actionable solutions.
  • Represent Watergenics at international conferences, exhibitions, and networking events to establish and strengthen the company’s market presence.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with industry leaders, research institutions, and technology providers to expand the company’s ecosystem.
  • Support the development of business cases and project proposals for key opportunities.

Your Profile

  • At least 4 years of experience in business development or sales in B2B sectors such as sensors, lab equipment, environmental analytics, or industrial solutions.
  • A degree in Business, Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Advanced qualifications (e.g., MBA, MSc) or industry certifications are a plus.
  • Experience in water monitoring, or analytical chemistry is highly desirable.
  • Expertise in one or more target markets (e.g., Mining, Oil & Gas) is a strong advantage.
  • Preferentially you have worked with in-situ spectroscopy methods for environmental chemistry
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Motivated to collaborate within interdisciplinary projects spanning all over the world.
  • Excellent communication skills to manage relations with partners
  • Methodical, accurate and organized
  • Highly motivated and self-driven
  • Passionate about natural ecosystems and their restoration
  • Fluent spoken and written English & German. Other languages are a plus.
  • The working place is our office in Berlin. 
  • Driving license is a plus
